RevCats is hiring an Insurance Defense Paralegal for a full-time, direct-hire role in Tampa, Florida, supporting a high-volume construction-liability insurance-defense practice. Local candidates only; relocation is not available.

Compensation and benefits

$75,000-$80,000 annual salary with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

Draft legal documents, pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, correspondence and interrogatories for attorney review. Review and summarize case materials, research facts and law, prepare depositions and trials, help prepare witnesses, exhibits and demonstrative evidence, and assist at trial. Use Federal Court CM/ECF filings and Summation or Eclipse; capture billable time according to guidelines; support claim demands/packets, fact investigation and claim pursuit.

Required background

Insurance-defense paralegal experience and construction-defense experience; bodily-injury/general-liability experience may be considered. Experience limited solely to first-party property is not sufficient. Strong legal document, litigation support, research, filing, organization and communication skills. No bachelor's degree required. Professional references must be verifiable.

At least three years of insurance defense paralegal experience is required; four to five years is preferred. The Tampa schedule is four days onsite and one day remote to start, then three days onsite and two days remote after 90 days.
